Detailed description is Following an initial feasibility study we’re here to look at the possibility of creating a unique visitor’s experience around one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks.. The idea isn’t a new one but with the 125th anniversary of its opening on the horizon, a pending application for a World Heritage listing and the completion of our restoration programme, the timing couldn’t be better.. . Whilst we will be undertaking further research, as a result of our feasibility study we’ve narrowed plans down to two potential concepts. One being a world-class visitor centre under the north tower, providing access to a lift system taking visitors to a viewing platform atop the Fife cantilever and the other, a coordination hub based in South Queensferry to take pre-booked thrill seekers on an exhilarating bridge walk to the top of the South cantilever.. .
