It is a band of the Australian Army, and made up of talented soldier-musicians who serve Australia as reservists. Our band is attached to the 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers, an armoured reconnaissance regiment based at Lancer Barracks in Parramatta. . . The Lancer Band performs many roles for the Army and the Community. For entertainment, we perform as a Big Band or Jazz Band, while being able to rock out as a Rock Band for after dinner and public performances. For more traditional functions, we perform as a Military marching band or as a Concert band, and can form classical wind and brass quartets.. .
