Detailed description is Connecting artisans from disadvantaged communities to new and emerging markets. . Established in 2016, NOMAD is a social entrepreneurship venture that connects artisans from disadvantaged communities to new and emerging markets. We are currently working with villagers in Jaisalmer, India to design, produce and market high-quality products made of ethically sourced camel leather. Profits made from the sale of these goods will be used to better their lives through education and vocational training. . . NOMAD prides itself as an active agent of change and hopes to make a difference to the many communities it intends to work with. This year, it aims to provide 140 children from Jaisalmer various educational materials for school, such as textbooks, stationeries, bags and shoes. The team also intends to work closely with the relevant authorities there to build a more conducive physical environment for the kids to learn better.. . As a small start-up, NOMAD hopes to secure more seed funding so that it can expand its brand beyond Singapore. It aims to become one of the top social enterprises in the world by 2030.
