Detailed description is On 5/30/14, James experienced a near drowning in our pool. After two months in the hospital, we are asking for prayers and positivity for a full recovery.. On May 30th, 2014, just one day after welcoming a new brother into the world, James Edwards experienced a near drowning accident in his family swimming pool. He was quickly rescued from the pool and given CPR until the arrival of the Coral Springs first responders. After several hours of resuscitation, James was transported to Chris Evert Children’s Hospital where he was treated for 2 months. On his 2nd birthday, July 22, 2014, James was released from the hospital to continue his care at home.. . After a short visit to Kennedy Kreiger Institute in Baltimore, James is back home and receiving therapy. . . All basic life skills need to be re-learned. From a medical professional stand point, most don't think it is possible for most of these things to be learned. from a mother stand point - HE CAN AND WILL DO IT! . . Although this page was intended to keep our large family informed, it has grown into a loving and supportive community of friends and strangers for The Edwards Family. We appreciate all of the continued support and prayers. . . TURTLE POWER!
