Detailed description is PsychiSoc is a student-run organisation under the UNSW Medical Students Society. We aim to promote clinical psychiatric medicine to medical students. UNSW Psychiatry Society is a SIG (Significant Interest Group) affiliated with the UNSW Medical Students Society (MedSoc) at the University of New South Wales. We aim to promote, facilitate and consolidate learning within the spectrum of psychiatric medicine for UNSW medical students.. . Throughout the year, we will be holding several psychiatric-based clinical skills sessions, specialty pathway information sessions and also explore the application of psychiatry in future medical practice! To a lesser extent, we will also be working with MedSoc to destigmatise mental illness and create a general medical student understanding of maintaining good mental health hygiene.. .
