La storia di Villa borgo medievale nel centro della Franciacorta, conteso nei secoli per il prestigio dei suoi prodotti vinicoli, continua ancora ai giorni nostri. E’ il 1960, quando Alessandro Bianchi, acquista il borgo Villa risalente al XVI secolo ed il centinaio di ettari di sua pertinenza.. A quel tempo la fisionomia dell’azienda era del tutto diversa da come si presenta oggi. La produzione vinicola era infatti legata alla sola cantina del Cinquecento e accanto ad essa primeggiavano le coltivazioni di grano e frumento.. . Fin dalle prime ricerche sulle bollicine, Alessandro Bianchi dimostrò la sua sentita passione per questa nuova dimensione enoica. Verso la fine degli anni Settanta fu infatti tra i primi pionieri ad affacciarsi a questo nuovo metodo di produzione. E fu proprio in quegli anni che l’azienda cominciò a subire la prime trasformazioni. Da azienda mista si trasformò in azienda vitivinicola ed in breve tempo, la qualità, e perché no l’eccellenza, diventarono l’obiettivo dell’azienda.. . Contemporaneamente a partire dal 1978, la famiglia Bianchi cominciò i lavori di restauro del borgo Villa che, nel corso degli ultimi decenni, è tornato all’antica bellezza. L’ampliamento della cantina, completamente interrata; il recupero della suggestiva residenza padronale; la ristrutturazione dei due nuclei di abitazioni rurali con corti, che oggi ospitano un’incantevole attività agrituristica e raro esempio di borgo interamente appartenente ad una famiglia, fanno di Villa una delle realtà più importanti ed interessanti di tutta la Franciacorta.
