I have had an interest in clothing styles since I a child. I made my dolls clothes with scraps left over from Mum’s sewing. Grandma and I would talk about her clothes and current fashion trends. Hats I love, because they are a work of art in themselves. Events like the racing season keep this “art form” fashionably relevant. I have started dabbling in simple hat making myself, and find I am pulling together a number of craft skills I have learned over the years. Creating a button based bouquet, jewelry and fascinator for my daughters wedding has given me a medium that I love using. Buttons provide the bling and point of interest without high cost.. . . So I reached a point in my life that I wanted a change of direction. My husband and I had accumulated a number of collectables over the years , and it seemed appropriate to begin a business with our ”collection” With my vintage clothing, I decided to hire it out for fancy dress, displays and fundraisers.
