Tað er eingin ivi í, at vit eiga nógvar eldhugaðar tónleikarar og málmhøvd í Føroyum, og tað vísir seg eisini aftur í stóru mongdini av bólkum, harav fleiri hava givið út plátur og spælt konsertir bæði úti og heima.. . Í 2012 vóru føroyingar á fyrsta sinni við í Wacken Metal Battle. Kappingin varð hildin í sjónleikarhúsinum, og átta bólkar gjørdu sær dælt av møguleikanum at vísa síni kynstur. Harímillum taldist serstaki doombólkurin Hamferð, sum slapp at umboða Føroyar í altjóða kappingini í Týsklandi, har hann eisini fór við fyrsta plássinum. Hetta megnar bragdið gav uttan iva fleiri bólkum íblástur og dirvi at melda til komandi árið.. . Í mars 2013 varð bragdið endurtikið. Hesaferð meldaðu enn fleiri bólkar seg til, og tiltakið var víðka til tveir dagar. Earth Divide hevur síðani arbeitt við at framleiða nýtt tilfarð.. . Eftir ein steðg í 2015 varð kappingin aftur hildin í mars 2016. Hetta árið var metár, og ikki færri enn 11 bólkar luttóku. Hetta árið var tað Svartmálm, sum fór við sigrinum, og opnaði hetta hurðarnar fyr teimum at spæla í eitt nú Týsklandi og Danmark.. . 24. mars 2017 verður aftur høvi hjá føroyskum rock/málmbólkum at kappast um at umboða Føroyar í altjóða Wacken Metal Battle kappingini í Týsklandi.
