Formerly known as Grasshopper F.C, Wesley United Football club was established on 14th December 2011. As with any major establishment, the obstacles in achieving our eventual dream were many, but with the persistent efforts of our current club Secretary Mr. Sakthivel, this dream was realized much earlier than expected. . . Mr. Sakthivel and his colleague and our current club President, Mr. Balaram, are avid footballers who have been playing the game at its highest echelons for more than two decades now. This passion for the game was the driving force behind the establishment of WUFC. The aim is to not only become and remain an outstanding and achieving football club in Tamil Nadu but also become an academy where interested footballers are groomed into intelligent ones.. . Wesley United FC will be competing in the 3rd division of the prestigious Chennai Football League, with an aim to get promoted to the higher division year on year.. . The aim of the club is to provide opportunities and nurture talented and potential footballers from the state of Tamil Nadu and other other states in the country. The club also aims to create for it, a valuable brand and attract potential sponsors and stakeholders which will help the club develop as the best team in Tamil Nadu football and a well known name in Indian football.. . OUR VISION is to become the leading elite youth development Club in Chennai, preparing footballers for the pursuit of a career in professional football and giving everyone in the community an opportunity to participate and be engaged in sport and social endeavors. . .
