Detailed description is Hi, my name is Sally and I started Wild about Spices in 2014. I was born South Africa and now live in Port Douglas.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I have been making curries for years, have attended Indian cooking classes, and visited Southern India in 2013 where we stayed on a Vanilla Plantation, where they grow all their own spices, and we had a cooking class there. I also got recipes from the indian chefs at hotels stayed at. I love cooking from Indian home cooks videos on the internet. I'll be visiting Northern India in January 2016 so will learn a lot then too. . . The recipes used in the dinner packs are adapted from award winning/well known cooks and chefs eg Charmaine Solomon, Regini Dey, and Rick Stein, and other personal favourites given to me by cooks and chefs.. . What I want to do is bring these beautiful, healthy spices to you in handy packages, ready to use. I'll have both spice mixes to use as your recipe dictates, and dinner packs, where you have a short shopping list, and a recipe that tell you to cook the meat, fish, or vegetables you like and when to add packet 1, 2 or 3. A quick and easy way to have a genuine and subtle curry experience. I find that a lot of the pre made pastes are a bit heavy or oily. My dry spices are usually added to meat or vegetables cooked in yoghurt or coconut milk. Some are rubs to coat your meat or fish before cooking it on the BBQ.. . There are also dinner packs and spice mixes from North Africa and the Middle East you'll probably be familiar with but can't buy easily. The spice mixes are Ras El Hanout, Harissa, Baharat, Berbere, Peri Peri, and Za'atar. I'll be adding more over time. So be daring, and get into Moroccan, and Lebanese dishes too.
