Detailed description is The Center for Technology and Society (CTS) is a multidisciplinary research center at the Technical University of Berlin. Contact: maple@ztg.tu-berlin.de Das Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) der TU Berlin, 1995 gegründet, ist eine zentrale Forschungseinrichtung der TU Berlin für Wechselwirkungen von technischer und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung. Übergreifende methodische Fragestellungen im ZTG waren von Anfang an die Entwicklung von Konzepten und Theorien zum technisch-gesellschaftlichen Wandel auf mittlerer Reichweite sowie neuer Formen der Zusammenarbeit und des Kooperationsmanagements.. . Das ZTG verfolgt dabei einen problemorientierten Forschungsansatz. Ein großer Teil der Forschungsvorhaben ist nicht rein deskriptiv-analytisch angelegt, sondern zielt zusätzlich auf die Entwicklung und den Test von neuen Lösungen und Angeboten.. . Die Arbeit des ZTG knüpft an einer breiten Forschungstradition der TU Berlin zum Themenfeld Technik und Gesellschaft an. Als koordinierende Einrichtung gestaltet es die bereits vorhandenen interdisziplinären Kooperationen dichter und richtet diese auf neue Aspekte sozialer und technischer Innovationen aus. Zu den zentralen Aufgaben des ZTG gehört es, interdisziplinäre Dialoge zu ermöglichen, inter- und multidisziplinäre Forschung anzuregen und auch mit Praxisakteuren transdisziplinäre Forschungsprojekte zu entwickeln. Zu den im ZTG entwickelten anwendungsorientierten Theoriebausteinen gehören etwa die Konstellationsanalyse, das qualitative Wissensmanagement, die aktivierende Evaluation, die Mobilitätsbiografien oder die Raumpartnerschaften.. . Das Konzept der nachhaltigen Entwicklung dient als normative Perspektive für die einzelnen Projekte am ZTG. Die integrative und gleichrangige Betrachtung ökologischer, ökonomischer, sozio-kultureller und politisch-institutioneller Aspekte ist für das Nachhaltigkeitskonzept konstitutiv. Die thematischen Bereiche des Zentrums Technik und Gesellschaft verbinden technik-, sozial-, natur- und geisteswissenschaftliche Perspektiven miteinander und entwickeln Konzepte und Modelle zum technischen Wandel.
