Detailed description is Having lost everything in the 1971 war between East and West Pakistan, a refugee walks 2,500 km across India to rediscover her home and identity.. In 1971, after a long and exhausting escape from what is now known as Bangladesh, Jheel arrives in Bombay and finds work in a Jewish Indian Bakery. Although she continues to search for her sense of home, over time Jheel becomes one of India's beloved writers. As contemporary India struggles with its identity, Jheel reveals the layers of her experience one day through a story over the radio. After her revelation she fulfills her longing of returning to her idealized notion of home, to her village in coastal Bangladesh, only to find that it was washed away by the rising ocean.
