Detailed description is 本專頁僅供發佈本中心之天文活動及天文資訊，並不作為公眾報名參加本中心天文活動及課程之途徑。 嗇色園興辦的可觀自然教育中心暨天文館，自1995年落成以後，便肩負起推行郊野研習及天文教育的重大使命。天文是一個可供無限探索的領域，莘莘學子能在廣漠深邃的宇宙空間裡遨翔馳騁，體會人與天的密切關係，對橫向的思想發展有極大幫助；在欣賞及觀測天象之餘，亦會引入其他學科常識，兼顧了縱向知識的擴大。至於涵蓋了生物及地理科郊野研習的自然教育，則關乎人與環境的一種學問，使學生們掌握生存的命脈和萬物變化的規律，從而瞭解到人與地怎樣和諧共處，締造美好生活。天文與自然教育，融匯了天與地的知識，使學生不單對於地上萬物有一定的認識，也能同時渴求追溯宇宙的奧秘，從而達到「可觀」期望的天、地、人合一理念。這種超然嶄新的思維，使學生得到教科以外的知識之餘，亦擴闊了他們學習的領域與層面，無論在多元智能的培育及高階思維的訓練上，均達到非常理想的果效。. . Since the establishment of Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen) in 1995, the mission has implemented through the field study courses and Astronomical Education. Astronomy has vast un-explored areas, students may immersed in the deepest and widest space to experience the relationship between the universe and human. In addition to the admiration and observation of Astronomical phenomenon, other subject knowledge are usually involved that allow students to broaden their horizon. The field study courses are either Biology or Geography, this is a matter of human beings and the environment. Students may learn about the rhythm of life and hence understand the harmony between human beings and the earth for seeking the better life. The combination of astronomy and nature education aims not only to increase their knowledge about the life on earth, but also arouse their interest in searching the secret of the universe.
