Cherokee Man Arrested By Storm Lake Police On Drug Charges

Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Cherokee man was arrested on drug and assault charges on Sunday.
The Storm Lake Police Department says they conducted a traffic stop at Business Highway 71 and 580th Street for a minor traffic violation. A K-9 was deployed and alerted to an odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle initially provided a false name but was ultimately identified as 40-year-old Christian Wunder Jr. During a search of the vehicle, police located meth and marijuana along with drug equipment.
