A YOUNG Bridport girl with a talent for fundraising has been recognised by a supermarket after raising more than £4,000 for a local cause.
Lily Tancock, 10, has made it her mission over the past few years to raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare.
Since the pandemic began in March 2020, Lily has managed to raise an incredible £2,959 for the specialist end-of-life care provider. Prior to the Covid outbreak she raised £1,095 for the charity, giving her a grand total of £4,054.
Her ideas have included initiatives such as coffee mornings, sponsored walks, a virtual light up Christmas tree and most recently selling cards of her very own photographs taken of our great Dorset landmarks. This Easter she even donated Easter eggs to Weldmar.
