CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Dec. 14 (PIA) - The first-ever modernized swine breeding center in Northern Luzon was recently inaugurated by no less than Agriculture Secretary William Dar.
The swine breeding center is a joint venture of Charoen Pokhand Incorporated of Thailand and the Sagittarian Agricultural Philippines Incorporated located at Sta. Victoria, City of Ilagan, Isabela.
The P500-million swine breeding complex will be the source of quality breeder stocks for re-stocking/repopulation of swine to help stabilize hog supply in Cagayan Valley and in nearby regions in Northern Luzon.
With this facility and the production complex, it will produce about 2,400 swine breeders. This will revolutionize swine production not only in Isabela, but also in the whole of Northern Luzon. This is just a replica of the modern agriculture that we want to have in the future,” said Dar.
