Noida: Kondli and Advant underpasses on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway are likely to be completed by July and September, respectively, about three months before their deadline.
While both projects have been in the pipeline for years, work picked up pace only after July 2020.
During an inspection on Thursday, Noida Authority CEO asked officials to expedite work on the projects.
“Officials have been asked to follow all pollution control guidelines set by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board. They will also ensure that water from sewage treatment plants are used for sprinkling at the construction sites (to control dust pollution),” said Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, Noida Authority. Both underpasses are being constructed using box pushing technology in which prefabricated concrete boxes are placed and pushed against each other to reinforce a structure. Following this, retaining walls are built to complete it. Officials said the technology saves time and also makes a structure strong.
