Revenue has appealed to people who are trying to access their preliminary end of year statement to be patient, after some users reported that its online system had slowed to a crawl.
Revenue Assistant Secretary in the Personal Taxes Division, Declan Rigney, said the volume of users attempting to access the Revenue Online System was causing the delays.
He added that this is not an issue that there is a deadline on and people should remember that they can access the information over the weekend or next week it they cannot access it today.
In a post on Twitter, Revenue said it was aware of intermittent issues with its online services.
