Jeff and Teresa Davidsmeyer no longer have the keys to the cabin they used to own in Pike County.
Instead, they have an album of music that will remind them of one of their favorite places every time they perform.
“We had a cabin on the Illinois River in Pike County,” Jeff Davidsmeyer said. “We would go there a lot in the spring, summer and fall. I started writing songs about that area and ‘cabin life’ and put this collection of songs together.”
Jeff Davidsmeyer has long been a musician, performing solo or as part of a band for years. And this isn’t his first recording release. There were “two cassette tapes back in the ’90s” and a mid-’90s CD as part of the band New Goat Revival, he said. He also recorded a solo album in 2014.
