Back in October 2021 Patently Apple posted a report titled "LG Innotek reportedly secures a deal with Apple for a future Periscope Lens for iPhone while advancing Liquid Lens Technology." Our 2021 report pointed out the reasoning for the delay of an advanced optical zoom solution for the iPhone that could surface between 2022 and 2023. Today an analyst predicted that Apple is planning to deliver such a camera advancement for their 2023 iPhone.
