Aarti Devi
AMRITSAR: The spate in incidents of alleged abduction of Hindu girls in Pakistan, their conversion and marriage, has led to the demand for a committee to decide whether the conversion took place by will or was forced.
The latest case in the series is the alleged abduction and conversion of Aarti Devi of Larkana.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary committee to protect minorities from forced conversion has failed to form a law to protect minority community girls from involuntary conversion.
Talking to the Times of India on Friday, Pakistan Muslim League (N), member National Assembly (MNA) Kheal Das Kohistani said the Hindu community in Pakistan is distraught at the series of kidnapping and forced conversions.
