Another sign of the drought: City of South Lake Tahoe to keep boat ramp closed in 2022

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe has closed its boat ramp at El Dorado Beach to all motorized vessels for the 2022 boating season. Due to low lake levels, it is unsafe to launch a motorized boat at this location, the City said. The ramp never opened in 2021 for the same reason.
