A man has beaten his brother with a broomstick and threatened to kill him after an argument over a failure to buy bananas spiralled out of control.
Roger Glenn Cameron Clarke, 50, threatened his brother, Ivan, and his brother's partner, Rhonda Rooklyn, at their property in Nashua, inland of Byron Bay, on February 20.
Clarke was living in a caravan on the couple's property and had asked his brother to buy some bananas while in town.

But when Ivan returned just before 1pm without the bananas, Clarke threatened to kill Ivan and Ms Rooklyn.
