Arlington candidates weigh in on improvements to COVID-19 response

In the weeks leading up to the April 10 election, The Advocate will be asking one question per week to the candidates running for Select Board. Eric Helmuth, John Hurd and Jennifer Susse are the candidates running for two spots on the Select Board.
Are there any concerns you have about the COVID-19 pandemic that you feel might not be currently addressed in an adequate measure?
Eric Helmuth: Arlington’s Health and Human Services department and the rest of our town government have done an outstanding job in our local COVID-19 response. Scores of dedicated employees have worked unbelievably hard to keep everyone as safe and well-informed as possible. Their work shows why local governments are in the best position to manage front-line pandemic response.
