Kayla Eykelboom, of Canmore, has been creating art all of her life but she has been pursuing painting in her spare time for over 10 years.
âI donât think I ever realized I wanted to be a professional artist until I kind of was one,â Eykelboom said. âIt just happened as a result of tending to a need to create all the time. That being said, I am thrilled that pursuing art as a career is where life has led me. I am wholly passionate about expressing my feelings and thoughts through art. I actually always wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a child or a storm chaser. I was enthralled by the movie Twister growing up.â
