Smoky Mountain Historical Society resumes meetings
SEVIERVILLE â The Smoky Mountain Historical Society is resuming holding bi-monthly meetings. The next meeting will be Sunday, July 18, at 2 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Sevier County Courthouse 3rd floor meeting room, located one level up from the east building entrance, 125 Court Avenue, Sevierville. SMHS members and the public are invited. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
Ruth C. Davis will present a program about some of the Revolutionary War Patriot Pioneers of Sevier County. Copies of her 350-page book, A Portrait of Patriots and Pioneers in Sevier County, published in 2020, will be available for purchase. The book contains short biographies and family histories of 108 individuals who fought in the Revolutionary War and lived in Sevier County at some point in their life.
