To the Editor:
The Watertown Housing Authority (WHA) is at an important juncture in its existence. The WHA has been overseen by an executive director/ administrative assistant form of management. Since I have been involved in 2011 there have been four executive directors, three that were removed or contracts not renewed for various reasons. The executive director form of management is no longer working at all, just ask the tenants. Recently an Interim Property Management Company has been hired. This form of management has nothing but praise from the numerous tenants that trust and contact me regularly.
A specification sheet was drafted after it was pointed out that advertised sealed bidding was required for this position. This position was advertised for five days in a local daily paper and Town Times as required. It was also listed on the WHA website as required. The entire specification sheet was listed, not just a small paragraph leading you to find it on the website. Any company had ample time to apply.
