Assam Govt Decision: Madrassa's, Sanskrit Schools to be shut down soon - Education Minister
The decision to shut down all the state-run madrassas and Sanskrit tols was taken during the cabinet meeting chaired by Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal.

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had chaired a meeting of the Assam Council of Ministers (CoM) on Sunday, December 13, in Guwahati where several important decisions were taken. One of them was the closing of all assam government-run madrassas & Sanskrit schools (tols), and a bill in this regard will be tabled during the winter session of the State Assembly.
