Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is full of close-ups on gory, Viking violence, but after the game’s latest patch, it doesn’t have to be. In a patch released on Monday, Ubisoft gave players the option to turn off the cinematic camera for finishing moves.
Valhalla’s cinematic camera zooms in extra-close for certain special finishing moves in the game. That means, if you’re winning a fight and about to chop off your opponents hands, head, or leg, the game gives you a nice, close-up view of the grisly details.
Of course, the game already gave players the option to turn off gore so it didn’t have to be so bloody. But the finishing-move camera could get a bit tiresome after seeing the same animation for the 40th time. So it’s nice to be able to save some time and avoid them.
