AT&T today announced the immediate availability of a new cybersecurity solution designed for government agencies. The solution, AT&T Threat Detection and Response for Government, is built from the carrier’s security management platform, which includes a variety of capabilities, including compliance management, incident response and other capabilities.
Carriers are increasingly getting into cybersecurity offerings as threats become more prevalent. AT&T’s launch comes only a couple of weeks after the Colonial Pipeline hack that temporarily cut off oil supplies through much of the East Coast. Though the pipeline is privately owned, the attack highlighted the risks of cybersecurity threats.
