Several companies are using AI-based hiring tools to manage job applications. However, some of these tools inadvertently produce biased results, highlighting the need for more transparency and regulation. AI audits offer a solution, but their abilities remain unproven. At best, they can give an incomplete picture, and at worst, they could help companies hide problematic practices behind an auditor’s approval.
