Ball of cracker wrappers, tape triggers a call to bomb squad | Noida News

GREATER NOIDA: The bomb disposal squad had to be called in Gadhi Chaukhandi village of Phase 3 area on Sunday morning after a ball of red and black tape that looked like an explosive device sparked a panic call to the police station.
Someone had put together wrappers of blown-up crackers, made it into a ball with tapes and left it in the middle of the service road connecting Gadhi Chaukhandi police chowki with Gaur City intersection.
The ball was spotted by a few passersby around 7.30am and they dialled the cops. ACP Abdul Qadir said a police team reached the spot soon, followed by the bomb squad.
