PUTRAJAYA: Random enforcement checks will be conducted at popular retail outlets to ensure shoppers abide by the two-hour shopping limit, says Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
However, he said the onus was on the public to exercise self-control and keep track of their shopping time.
“With about 2,200 enforcement officers nationwide, we will conduct random checks at places that are popular.
“Abide by the two-hour limit. This cooperation is important for us in our battle against Covid-19, ” he said at a virtual press conference yesterday when announcing the price control scheme for this year’s Pesta Kaamatan and Hari Gawai festive period.
