A Bishop Ready High School theology teacher has been fired after she made comments during a virtual class in February disputing how George Floyd died.
The Catholic Diocese of Columbus says Deborah DelPrince made unsupported personal assertions and opinions. Floyd, who was black, was killed by a white police officer.
During the online class DelPrince insisted that the facts "were in doubt" and "perpetuated a myth" about police, despite a viral video of the killing and a coroner's report ruling the death a homicide.
