BlackRock's Aladdin teaming up with Snowflake on data, cloud

BlackRock's massive Aladdin business and cloud-data storage firm Snowflake are partnering up.
Aladdin users will be able to customize the platform with internal and third-party data through the deal.
BlackRock and Snowflake said the move represents the growth of tech skills in front-office jobs.
BlackRock is partnering with a red-hot tech company as a way of adapting one of its crown jewels to meet a customer base increasingly focused on data and coding. 
The world's largest asset manager said Monday it would launch a feature called Aladdin Data Cloud with the help of Snowflake, the cloud-data storage firm that last fall had the largest software public offering in history.
