A SELF-EMPLOYED ground worker has been fined £350 in a Borders court after reacting angrily when his partner said she wanted to leave him.
Jason Whiteford, 32, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing and behaving in an aggressive manner at a property in Cuddyside, Peebles, on November 28, and in a police van.
Selkirk Sheriff Court heard that there had been an argument earlier and his partner had indicated she wanted to separate.
Whiteford went drinking in a local public house and when he returned to the property he began shouting and swearing at her and accusing her of wanting to leave him for another person.
