A number of safety improvements including a raised median and “no turn on red” signs have been added to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Kennedy Street NW, near where a 4-year-old boy was killed while trying to cross the street. Critics say the changes don’t go far enough, but DDOT says more improvements are coming to Kennedy Street.
