A traffic officer was shot and killed in the Mthatha CBD at midday on Monday. An unknown assailant shot the officer, who was on duty, at close range, and escaped in a black Toyota Tazz. The officer’s body was observed lying next to an FNB outlet near the corner of Sutherland and York roads.
