The Coast Guard’s “Change of Command” ceremony was held on the grounds of Fort Wadsworth.

Cannons were fired at the beginning of the ceremony where Capt. Zeita Merchant relieved Capt. Jason P. Tama, who was in command of the Coast Guard’s New York sector for the past year.
