Charles City’s Main Street is set to grow exponentially in 2021.
In fact, by mid-year there could be possibly three new fixtures on the strip:
The first domino already dropped in late-December as ‘McCoy Smoothies and More’ opened up inside of SNAP Fitness near Central Park
The second 2021 addition could be the finishing touches on the ‘Union House’ or the former ‘McQuillen Place’. According to a report from First Security Bank President Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer back in November, the hope is to finish the project and have it occupied by spring or early-summer of this year
And the final addition to Main Street in 2021 is a clothing store. ‘Mara’ in Charles City is expanding and opening a second store at 101 North Main Street in February. This second store is going to be called ‘Cardigan’ and carry women’s clothing of all sizes
