Shasta County deputies identify bicyclist who died in Tuesday's hit-and-run crash

COTTONWOOD, Calif.
(Update: 9:10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021) – The Shasta County Sheriff's Office identified the bicyclist who died after being hit by a vehicle in Cottonwood Tuesday.
Deputies identified 65-year-old Micheal "Mickey" Don Strausbaugh of Anderson.
CHP officers arrested a woman for a hit-and-run crash that left Strausbaugh dead in Cottonwood.
On Wednesday, Redding CHP officers arrested Victoria McDaniel of Cottonwood, she is facing charges of felony hit-and-run and manslaughter, according to the CHP.
Around 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, CHP officers located a bicyclist who had been struck by a car, lying on the north roadway shoulder of Gas Point Road east of Happy Valley Road.
