Climate change increases risk of cryptosporidiosis outbreaks

More cryptosporidiosis outbreaks could be on the cards for New Zealand as extreme rainfall events become more frequent, causing higher levels of the diarrhoea-causing parasite to be washed into waterways, public health researchers warn.
