Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP), the world’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler, has invested in a company developing counter-top drink dispensing machines that could support moves to ditch single-use plastic bottles.
CCEP announced yesterday that it has completed an investment in Lavit, a fast-growing firm which has patented technology that lets consumers make and pour drinks in seconds.
The Lavit system dispenses a range of cold drink options “on-demand” at the tap of a button and offering customisation of beverages based on carbonation and flavour. Since commercialisation, Lavit has a growing network of customers in the US and Canada.
