That's why Codecademy, a popular platform for learning programming skills, is launching a new, free course to teach low-code skills in partnership with website building tool Wix. The course will teach people how to build a website using Wix's drag-and-drop platform, as well as basic Javascript skills to create advanced site features. By the end of the course, users will be able to make a full-stack web application, like a portfolio, e-commerce site, or blog.
"We think of our longer term mission as connecting people around the world to economic opportunity, and teaching of any of the skills that they need in order to make that happen," Codecademy CEO Zach Sims told Insider. "Over time, people are using new and different tools to create and some of those tools are low- and no-code styles of programming."
