GARDNER — The 'Comcast elves' paid a visit to the Boys & Girls Club Gardner Clubhouse at Gardner Middle School.
The delivery of several Dell Inspiron Chromebooks to club members was part of Comcast’s efforts to help students and their families with narrowing the digital divide while building awareness of the company’s own Internet Essentials program.
“The program offers eligible households low-cost, broadband internet service, the option to purchase a heavily subsidized computer, and multiple options for digital literacy learning,” said Comcast Director of Community Impact Rebecca Fracassa. “The program is open to individuals who receive a federal benefit such as Medicare, SSI, reside in HUD-assisted housing or have a child in the National School Lunch Program.”
