Book clock is stories of people are interested in what is going on in our country today yours is the book to read but i was thinking of the impact of her grandparents. Yes i wanted to talk more about my personal story because its fashionable for the media to create a caricature of everybody involved evil trump and mean candace if you think of these people and then they realize the media made me as someone who got into this for selfish reasons but i want to show people where my conservative roots began and it really all begins with my grandparents who are staunch conservatives so for me to be able to tell the story of my grandfather who was on the sharecropping farm and then what that taught me the way black americans view their circumstances today. Your grandfather was his voting or opining on politics but with his views be . Conservative all the way just because to the left was against every the value that was instilled in a way that out out to my chapter the black community is tremendously faithful we have values and we believe in family everything you see right now the left is pushing for is an attack on the Nuclear Family and the way things are in favor of a marxist future that they say can exist but as black americans can understand the only way to get ahead is through hard work with no shortcuts. You talk about with this movement and you compare it to brexit so tell us about your thinking and creativity so tell us about your thinking and creativity irony i came up with that at cpac and i had to decide between doing and interview to get my name out because not many people knew me so i decided to do the interview of course a secret sure of it on the secret service had shut everything down so i just thought thats the guy who is leading brexit so that i realize there had to be a black exit blaxit from progressivism and the black exit from what i believe what is venting us from our future and positivity to earn our spot in america. And so i had blaxit as the antithesis of everything we believe in and somehow this country should give you something because of those values are the lack of those values we created the 501 c 3 blaxit is now in many states and communities know that black Young Children are realistic for what they are doing in their communities and it has been a tremendous journey the world goes to that one moment i was locked out. s most people have a chance to think and collaborates obviously you are a person who has her own mind and opinion and a great story of how your grandparents intervened in your life in a very characteristic to is your perspective of the historical facts as black americans got rights and to play the role in society fully empowered citizens and we cannot compare the violence going on in our cities today mentioning black lives matter and mentioning the clan so long ago in the way creations are appears understand your perspective its in the impact on black americans. Absolutely when i try to do is just tell the truth without allies and perpetuating people have no idea about American History what actually happened in this country america was built off the back of slaves everything from the Democratic Party in terms black america i like to say theres something about progressive principles leading to results of the Minority Community because what the left believes and relies on is the permanent underclass this is why marxism is a tenant of all their principles the heterosexual versus homosexual versus skinny people because they truly believe once you divide you can conquer everything that conservatives are against so there is a real history and currently in the Public School system he aims the civil rights bill this is to the point it should be humorous but it is outrageous and then to vote against every single measure to get a black americans progress and agency low and behold to take a shot and with the Civil Rights Act because of the by is taking place throughout the country and then introduce the Great Society act of perfect machiavellian scheme to attack the black family as he said and with the and word for the democrats for the next 200 years of trying to disrupt his plan that we are not democrats the next 200 years and that they realize the Democratic Party is out to hurt you but republicans have always been the party of freedom they say we just want to help black people thats not true if you want to work hard in this country we will help you want to contribute in this society we hope you if you want to make decisions we were hoping we do not believe in handouts but to make sure everybody understands that if you work hard and stay out of trouble the country will reward you. Lets go with the history a little bit because some people will hear your words in santa fe agree with that. That its important to go back through civil rights history so do you give lbj someone who ran for office in the house and senate as a segregationist do give him some credit shifting when the mantle of power came to him . He decided he wanted to the president of civil rights and there are some books like the one from robert caro talks about the just one the juxtaposition who was a racist then uses those legislative powers to get the civil rights laws passed. Can people change in office and do give him credit that he did do that . As i said lyndon b. Johnson did not pass it he did that because republicans pass that he could have vetoed that and really said i am a racist but because of what was going on in the country so he did eventually sure that he kept that up by creating the Great Society act thats why its so important for black americans he said the end words are getting uppity now. And wanted to make sure they had the boats the next 200 years and then not even willing to give an its of the Democratic Party could give a mile one of the most despicable president s not just because of the things he did but also vietnam war. I think its crazy black americans dont know any of this way just taught he was the best thing that ever happened to black americans and thats not true to be in the oval office today. Will show paul after paul says would you have to lose him or of them are breaking so now go back to the Republican Party history the origins were anti Slavery Party when black americans got the chance to vote they voted willingly but what can party itself earn some scorn as a embrace the southern strategy under Richard Nixon Martin Luther king senior was a longtime republican but in the sixties it seemed like the Republican Partys dropped the ball with the is voters so thats our history we have to talk about as well do you believe the party is nothing like that today . Its not perfect but i would say the reason and they lost wasnt necessary because of their shortcomings with democrats offering free stuff the first time you see that is with the new deal to me but the thirties was the first time they voted for these handouts and by the way the economist that have examined the new deal say that actually lasted the depression and go five years longer than it needed to. And then practicing with lbj and that he gave the speech saying black americans we have to give you quality plus benefits and that benefits welfare so the strategy has remained the same in the Democratic Party that they offer handouts so that they take those without reading the fine print and that this harms black American Society but an interesting point to observe and to ask the question but with black unemployment was lower than white americans that was 1930 were changed . The government decided to get involved in federal minimum wage because the democratic races in congress so that act otherwise the minimum wage in her black americans so every time the government gets involved black america gets hurt so they actually have free agency in their lives and even those that want to help its not helping so what can i do to keep being white americans . You have to want to help but not as a collective bed as individuals. This is much more of a libertarian idea selfhelp and take care of your life when i go to the polling i did check i was shocked and made the news in the last gallup poll the percent of africanamericans call themselves conservatives is that shocking to you is that the story are trying to get out there quick. I know its true show me a black american i will show you someone who is conservative and doesnt know it because one things republicans are really bad to get out there message we have to realize the left one the culture war they were on tv they were near everything better than the republicans and we love them to be a caricature of the republic and the white guy that doesnt my culture and trump is given a window of opportunity because he is so different and funny. Is actually not the Republican Party of today it is extremely diverse you have the youth on College Campuses from this will be discussed to secure the future and black americans are finally being exposed to those conservative ideas i. C. E. Look at my career on social media will twitter and facebook and they know that. And thats why they are trying to have the conservative voices. And what i thought was interesting with all the torments going on around the country even in small towns with black lives matter i was surprised that 54 percent black voters generally support the cops. This is a weird thing where most white people worldview the Dynamic Force the black lives matter and the number one policy goal of six or eight or ten but the first is to find the cops but then polling shows paper of color and black americans are worried if the cops walk away does this surprise you . Not at all then the university understands what it means that it creates a vacuum and that somebody else could be gangster or thug and why you see with that in 200 percent in terms of shooting from the radical left so also with black lives matter sure you seen it they are markedly the white last week they said it was antifa now they talk black lives matter and then black america and then one of my favorite things to see have seen on the internet the protesters who show up and they are bold and staying out of the neighborhoods because you want to show up the political narrative and thats the truth this is about the society when there is no Law Enforcement to protect the people this allows the march to rise up. When you see white people wearing black lives matter tshirts some of you are pushback is at least white people are getting into the fight to try to help black people and then you say the fight isnt about white or blac black. It is marxism it is about this election that we knew this would happen because the last three years i said black lives matter 2020 this is even more than i predicted because black americans are starting to realize i am a conservative i want to be a part of this how it is for every black american to have to have an opinion we all believe in the breakdown but that is racism in essence thats actually the color of our skin but we are individuals and the overwhelming majority of us do not support the black lives matter narrative. I talk to africanamerican leaders across the country and we do a lot of work on criminal Justice Reform working with people on the left for some of these issues conversations pattern private will say what you disappointed so much of the Corporate Philanthropy and the support going to help black people are the radicalized organizations . Just send money to black pastors so they can go back to schools and get counseling for parents and these black communities get the money on the street to the peoples and the one ironic the money doesnt go there . That is the great irony a black lives matter where is the money going . They dont have Corporate Headquarters doesnt go into laptops or into a fund to help pay for camp or college instead it goes to politics so when you are burning down target in minneapolis how many work at that target it in that process and to show the black lives matter and to ensure the people on the phone crying and say thank you this is the right thing to do and say you have no idea and that was destroyed in 19 by black lives matter activist and say i am black why are you doing this to my store . Its just about wanting to make sure america doesnt get power. Prolife or prochoice. I am prolife and apologetically and for those to the conversation with those that are prochoice people say they are prochoice you learn from the time that you are in school you should be having abortions and doing all this. And i was in Public Schools was pushed on you . High school nine and ten in h grade and the responsible thing is go out have sex and use a condom and then if you are pregnant the responsible thing to do is kill your child. Course we know the majorities suffer from ptsd from the decision where they are outside screaming for their rights or walking and then we have to be able to enter into that conversation in a more sympathetic or empathetic way it doesnt mean you cant change your mind for those loudest voices to talk about so when we try to do that and create a space bar that. You had your aha moment was a really a question of when life begins . I just started educating myself so they have the kids from candid on kindergarten until 18 years old and they can completely with her mind this is the truth they are teaching your things so they started to get that feeling that maybe this is not right was like a domino all the chips came down and then they had to educate myself and then educate myself to learn the World History and i took a year and a half off to read all the people these are race traders which is ironic because of what i am called its like i was seen for the first time i had no idea and i had this wait on me and i did not have to be a victim and it is is described how we feel an example of that recently go watch from a hated trump its almost a way that comes out of him and he seems so much happier truth is light and lies are darkness. I am grateful i had so many people like doctor ben carson leading me into the reality going through all of the emotions the grief and cognitive dissonance. [laughter] know. [laughter] but i am okay this is the truth. So my experience is the polar opposite of yours but for a lot of times talk about the gray black offers so the dean of that delegation the criticism is written how the brain thinks in terms of race but is a black thinkers for the white population but you say that you may help to bring you a different perspective on the range of issues. Yes possibly the most courageous and heroic black people walking in the country because they did at a time when it was not okay they took the heart ache and they kept telling the truth and did so unapologetically i would not be where i am today and then hoping the truth would become popular so it said to me that black america is in such a dark spot looking at lebron james and kobe bryant and Condoleezza Rice that that is the culture today and that is something im actively working to transform. As a father of five girls that is a cultural problem the crap that is produced is prevalent into conservatives and libertarians about the five people to make decisions about their life we are the for this thing. So i have understood so why we are seeing a lot more that support is entirely different with donald trump we are funnier and making faster videos and telling jokes and the irony of that that the left cannot take a joke saying why are you so serious . So we and then to reveal for what they are. And that is just the right thing to do and the nba is used nothing more than a billboard for black lives matter if you asked them where the money goes on they cannot answer the question. I tell people it is okay for lebron james but then you have to adopt the perspective on every other subject. I like politics and i know politics. There isnt a a point otherwise but they actively avoid. What did you think recently i read about the academy of the Motion Picture in hollywood. They kind of had their own version of affirmativeaction given the statutes. Did you have a reaction to that . Im excited to see them. Its just craziness. Imagine a world you can no longer tell history as it was because that is what they are essentially saying. What they were trying to do is tell something that was historically true to see people in hollywood say the left has gone so far. I wanted to make the movie about now and i know this could be the best thing i ever created and my movie isnt going to be up for an award. Is my child have privileged, half oppressed . In terms of two colors, black and white we live in a racially diverse to climate and i am so tired of this narrative that they are basically going back to the democrats and everything is about race. All you can be as a black person or a white person and a bunch of attributes. Im going to take that as a little bit of a direction. Maybe we should stop talking about issues in the black community and Start Talking about america, because you are somebody that loves this country. As you look across the country, what worries you the most about america and its history, continuing on in the years to come do you think its a threat, and what threatens it . What threatens it is what threatens everything. But more than that, ive been happy to be in the controversy and i would have more regret if i did nothing and a lot more regret if i cared about what my Wikipedia Page said and allowed these lies to go on and plays in our youth and tell people they can pick their gender at five or 6yearsold and encourage them to mutilate their bodies. I have used my platform to say i do not agree with these narratives. If it takes being called a world racist, white supremacist, all the words being called to me, knowing im leaving the country in a direction where my kids have an opportunity, that is a risk i will take every single day and i think we need more americans with that same spirit. Do you think that its consistent america could embrace socialism or do you think those concepts are inconsistent . I think the concepts are inconsistent and i will tell you why. What makes america different is we are such a big country. When we get close to manufacturing something, i mean trump should have never won the election. People were against him. Yet there was something in the heart of america that there was something wrong and united together stood up against it and now more and more americans than ever before to come to the forefront. I always believe god steps in and america and there there isy one type left which is in line with we are one nation under g god. In the public and private schools it isnt a disregard to the history of america. People that show up in washington, d. C. Our kids, high school and college students. Do you think the kids of america lost this idea that they have embraced in the leftist ideas or do you think that its mixed . Guest my generation the millennialism ruined everything. [laughter] im more optimistic because they are being raised by the internet. My generation hopelessly lost and i think its because of the Education System and we didnt have the internet per se. We were tv people. Now we have an Education System its a beautiful, i love it, then there comes that age youre not going to be an artist. They are trying to draw this out and producing these marxists coming out of the School System who believe everything can and should be free. How will you and your husband raise your kids, homeschool . I am pro homeschool. If we end up putting them in a private school, i will be so into my kids were they will eventually capitulate to what i believe the curriculum needs to be because my kid isnt going to be learning any slop. Its going to be hardcore. Im a staunch conservative and my kids will be as well. I cant tell you if its going to be a boy or girl but its going to be republican. A. Are you going to make sure your kids read which books . Thomas soul that saved my life, its much more than race. And Shelby Steele should be a mandatory reading for all white people. Stop being guilty rather fight about it and realize you are destroying everything. How the left one is an important one and people should know why it is the best. People are pushing to get rid of western civilization across all universities. We need to make sure conditioning kids understand what bill to the west and why we fight to protect it. Between those books, why the west one, intellectuals and race and Shelby Steele would be the first three books my kid reads when hes five. A. We talk about race and when people talk about the west and Christopher Columbus they like to put it within the context of exporting slavery, but they fail to also talk about the idea of spreading the good news, the good news that Martin Luther king senior and junior spent their lives dedicated to giving and you and your own life your grandfather had an interesting spiritual walk your self which you talk about in the book and i thought was personal and interesting. One of the books you want your kid to read would include the bible . It would definitely include the bible. Like i did, reading bible scripture and breakfast. My sisters and i loved that growing up. There were the lessons that were so quiet that they didnt even seem they were lessons. It was part of a habit, eating breakfast and read the bible. I came back to those values and principles and i was horrible and narcissistic in my College Years and thought its all about me and feminism and i had an awakening and realized i was miserable. The last time i remember being happy is when there were rules and regulation and structure. People need to understand that. People think of rules and bondage. First, freedom, making the right decision is freedom and the left is pushing against of that, asking for no rules, regulation, no Law Enforcement and that leads to chaos and unhappiness. Is there anybody that would be characterized in american politics from the last Democratic Party you would consider a hero . Hillary clinton for losing. [laughter] let me ask you an easier question. Who were your heroes . My grandfather first and foremost and my grandmother passed. Thomas soul and my grandfather i think and then i would probably say my husband. I love that answer by the way, its a great answer. When you meet a partner that knows you, and especially for us its not easy to find someone who gets it and believes you can do it. I love marriage and i believe having a good partner is one of the greatest gifts in life. We have covered some controversial topics as we have had this conversation and you are used to being controversial and i am used to being controversial but theres a lot of people who are going to watch this conversation and get offended by one part or another. What would be your response, would it be tough i have my own opinions or would it be keep listening and stay engaged because much like you, the more we listen to each other and try to understand the point of view, the more people might understand your point of view and come to believe those same ideas. I would say to them being offended is a feeling. If you can put your feelings aside and try to see what it is you disagree with you might find we have more common ground. I understand in the polarized world it can be hard to have conversations. People are so invested in their feelings. I have people on the left that tend to forget i have democrats in my family. My hope is that the moderate democrats will find their voices because right now the left sees their narrative as well and i hope that we are reaching out to people that are just curious and dont recognize. I know thats how people in my family feel. They dont certainly support rioting and looting to get things that you want. So a different perspective, going on different websites i normally wouldnt and shocked to find those values were in line with my own. Would you consider this book and autobiography . Is autobiographical in content. Do you think its a fair criticism people say she hasnt lived her whole life yet . You are not too young to do anything. Ive learned a lot. Im dedicated. I love what i do. [inaudible] [laughter] that is a battle i might want you to win. Okay, you write this book. Im not going to ask you how old you are. Twenty years from now, what do you think you will be doing . I dont know. The reason i stopped guessing is if you told me six years ago that i would be a conservative republican voting for donald trump, i would think that you were crazy and on drugs. I think it is all in gods hands and im just doing what i believe is right every single day working incredibly hard. I focus obviously on november to secure another four years of donald trump. I think that the nation depends on it. About 1 foot in front of the other and i am optimistic every single day. Weve covered a lot of topics. Husband, family, racism in this country. Lets talk about the most interesting thing going on in the president ial campaign. You obviously support donald trump and you are very public about that and tell anybody watching this what was your personal interaction . When i first realized i liked him it was because of the media and not trump. The media woke me up to the fact that they lie incessantly. I wasnt for him when he came down the escalator. I was like who is this. We cant go from obama to trump. Then i listened to his speech where he started listing the various statistics and the way we are suffering and talking about our neighborhoods and the conditions of the cities that i knew to be true because i came from an impoverished background. Many on welfare. I knew what he was talking about and then i watched him speaking the truth and people say he is a sexist and misogynist. Wait a second hes on decades and you are just now, so hes flown under the radar . So something seems to be a mess. The more i studied the more i realized he was on the side of truth and what people didnt like about him a is he was sayig it in a way that i had gotten uncomfortable with the truth. Meeting him is exactly as i expected. He ihes really warm and infects and funny and thats why the media works in overtime. What everybody else is saying hes in on the joke, he gives it as good as he gets and the biggest thing is he loves the country. Hes making sacrifices he didnt have to make. As a billionaire he should be golfing somewhere offering commentary occasionally on whats happening in the white house. Instead he wakes up every day and fights like hell to save america. So in my opinion he is the greatest president weve ever had and it will take decades before his legacy settles. One of the things hes done so successfully is bringing new issues to the folder for republicans. I think specifically immigration, trade, a different approach to china. Are any of those issues more appealing to you than others . Immigration and talking about if you understand what thats doing to the economy and how it impacts black americans. I think immigration is probably the issue im the strongest on. I wrote about it so people can understand when you say we should have closed borders what you are saying is you want to harm men who are young and dont have a College Degree and that study was done by the way, im talking about illegal immigration, we should clarify, illegal immigration, the study commissioned under barack obama in 2012. Its always been known, hes just the first one doing something about it and of course china plays a huge threat. Anybody thats a Business Owner understands that, but i think protecting our borders is always number one. Do you think one of the reasons republicans had trouble talking about illegal immigration is because they just so much of the party is characterized as being white and they dont want to touch these issues that get even close to the topic of race . Yes they are terrified to be called racist. Trump doesnt shut down, he doubles down. Then we triple and quadruple them and thats what we needed. Now its like no one cares because the word has become meaningless. It doesnt matter anymore. In many ways it is time to take this opportunity and fight back. I am a big believer dont let people steer you this way. Im for the reversal. They are allowed to lie. I hope that is one thing that transforms in the future. So in the era of trump, im going to try this question again do you ever see yourself putting your name on a ballot and running for office . This is the question i get number one the most. A. Are you saying that im not a creative interviewer . People ask this all the time and you would say no it isnt for me. If i felt my country needed me i would and i think thats how i feel. It should be left wanting to go to war but if you had to fight for your country you would. I would make that sacrifice myself. I would run and i would when. Is there anybody else out there may be not involved in politics but elected office, somebody else that you admire and think would be a great president as well . Its hard because i love so many of them where they are. People like ted cruz and fighting and saying these things that need to be said. Its hard. Who do i think would win, not just run but who do i think should win. I dont know. We dont know who it is yet. Maybe its a random person. If i asked you before the announcement at trump tower, my guess is that it would be a hard thing to predict and there would be a lot of changes. I would like to say to you you are such an interesting voice out there and we appreciate what you do and what your perspective is. I know a lot of people probably disagree with you on all kinds of issues but its wonderful the spirit with which you go right at it. I think if you keep doing that not only will more people understand your point of view and come to your side, but it will make americans understand its okay to debate and disagree if we can do it in the right way. No harm, no foul you are allowed to have an opinion. Thats allowed in this country believe it or not. Thank you very much for agreeing to talk to me. This law office questioner i loved reading your book and i know that the people around the country, the people watching this conversation are going to go out and get it. I know it takes a lot of time and dedication. Thank you so much. I will see you soon. This program is available as a podcast. All after words programs can be viewed on our website at booktv. Org. Matt welch interviewed breitbart editor at large joel pollock about his new book the upcoming president ial election. In this portion, he makes the case that democrats have moved further to the left. For the left, the goal is never to produce a better result. Most importantly the right sentiment and we have people today openly proclaiming these transformative sentiments. When barack obama said he wanted to fundamentally transform america he said it late october, 2008, five days ago. Joe biden is running on that and saying it openly to fundamentally transform america. The campaign ads talk about systemic racism. He is condemning the society and doing so openly so you could say weve made the same complaint before. I think whats happened is that the left has only become firm in its convictions that only radical transformation is appropriate for the country, and i think that this is a Long Distance away from where the democrats went in the right direction in 1990s when bill clinton triangulated o removed back towards the center when he lost congress in 1994 he won in 96 by moving to the center and hed been part of a decades long project, the Leadership Council that moved in a pro market direction so democrats were offering americans a better run free market and a better run system. That was a winning offer one could have continued if it hadnt been for the impeachment and scandal that made it hard for al gore to win after clinton but i think that if the democrats, who are in control now, took the opposite lesson in the years that they were dissatisfied with welfare reform, for example, and moving back towards the center, and they want the opportunity to try out the radical policy, they are not going to be denied until they do with the democrats had to do in the 80s which is consider a series of defeat. I think the democrats could win. The polls certainly says that. If they do they are going to put into place radical policies that are not just shifting policy, but again this question of the filibuster adding new states. When you add puerto rico and washington, d. C. , you get for Democratic Senators that are not going to elect republican senators and that makes it impossible to win the majority and the senate so you permanently but democrats and the majority and republicans in the opposition. We are looking at a change in the system itself even before we get to the policy. So, this is a flight 93 election in a much bigger way and we will have a series of these elections until democrats decide decide ts is actually not where they want to lead the country but what works for the country is what worked in the past and there are some democrats who know it but the ones who control are not on the same page. He wanted a robe made of velvet. The constitution he wanted to shelve it. With impeachment of wash, he wanted an orb, a sector, a throne. Six palaces,
