Good afternoon. Thank you for being here today. I hope everybody had a happy and safe thanksgiving over the weekend. I know this looked a little different from any of us including myself and my family but i really want to take the time we made a call to the public and i want want to make sure missouri has set up that they are doing everything on their own taking responsibility. I also encourage we are not out of the situation by a long way through have to continue the same aggressive nature. We need to continue that over the next 23 weeks are critical as we move forward. I also want to say thank you to the house and the senate for the tip on the supplemental bill getting that passed to the Governors Office for the work they have done on that issue to make sure that staffing is one of the Biggest Challenges facing the hospitals right now. But the issue is there are not enough since the start of covid19 they have been in constant communication with the missouri hospital associatio association, Infectious Disease doctors, numerous and other Healthcare Providers and the covid 18 fusion cell we continually monitored statewide Health Care System to focus on supporting hospitals and healthcare workers as much as possible. Since march we have been distributed over 2600 cases of ppe with Healthcare Providers and 17,000,014. 2 million close seven. 2 million surgical masks, masks, the 95 mask the only face shields. Allocated over 5 million to expand broadband for telehealth across the state. We remove barriers to allow doctors to treat more patients and we have secured numerous for coaching email can see more through the covid 18 patients we are currently doing all we can at the state level to help with staffing challenges. The Missouri Disaster Medical Assistance Team are already meeting to utilize as we exhaust all other options. To further assist and prepare for a potential surge this winter, the state multiple geographically dispersed hospitals will be partnering with the company to bring additional staff and further expand capacity. The program will allow for 760 additional staff across the state including registered nurses, respiratory therapist, cna go that is 600 total plans and including and then will face through the end of the year for states like arizona have also worked through the covid 18 crisis and were hopeful this will provide meaningful support for hospitals and the people of missouri. I want all missourians to know that if you are sick, we will take care of you. Today we have the Association President and ceo here with us to give us an update on our hospitals you and your team have been your every step of the way we first got the first patients to this important announcement today thank you for him all of us across the state with this new agreement the administration is moving aggressively to expand Health Care Professionals available to provide essential care during the surge. Throughout the past week infection rates and hospitalizations have continued to climb this is happening in all parts of the state with communities of urban and rural and affecting the ability for rural hospitals to major urban medical centers to care for patients the states we partner with will allow Rapid Deployment of staff to Hospital Capacity in all regions of the state. In the days and weeks ahead as the workers arrived they will provide essential support to healthcare workers and those on the frontlines of care since march the they are to address the staff so shortages of capacity here in missouri the plan will provide a the bridge for all positions needed urgent lifesaving care. Not just those of covid 18 to reduce the chance the hospitals are overwhelmed by a search in the weeks and months ahead. Despite this assistance missourians must remain visual with that coalition of stakeholders to help stem the tide of covid19 and infection is upstream we have to reduce the infection rate and i will also give another big shout out to be unrelenting to remind everyone of the responsibility to mitigate infections across the state. They cannot come at a better time with the exact impact of the thanksgiving holiday and hospitals ability to manage the surge the early indicators are troubling. The governor talks about how good people were across the state to avoid concrete opportunities where we can pass infections. Look at some of the data the concern is that missourians travel for recreation and retail 40 percent on average between monday may 23rd and thanksgiving day. Remains the next couple days will be critical to watch that is why this announcement today is so important and impactful and helpful but thank you for your support as we address this critical moment of the states Healthcare System of hospitals and caregivers and we she the juries help you do to mitigated a will make a big difference in december moving into the winter months. Thank you. Thank you, want to recognize and then just to make sure that we continue to support hospitals by all means we have available thank you for the hard work. We are thankful for the hospitals and doctors and nurses and all healthcare workers across the state. For nine months on the front lines. They are tired and overwhelmed. They continue to rise to the challenge to take care of missourians. We cannot thank them enough we will continue to support them in any way that we can. Thank you and god bless. Now able turn it over for some questions. When it comes time for hospitals can use cares funding for that quick. We are looking at the c. A. R. E. S. Act availability dollars the federal government made changes recently when the resources that hospitals can receive. There has been a new set that we are looking at and evaluating talking to our congressional delegation about that. We want to deploy those resources to fund this immediate and important activities. Speak briefly where these numbers are coming from . We dont know. The important thing about this somewhat we have done is have tapped into and create a unique Publicprivate Partnership to get a company with National Scale because the pandemic is in every state. Before maybe we could compete with just a few states that we compete against 49 and that important staff. Bringing this into play what he has done a mention in his comments he has put in place the important waiver so the health care clinicians and then to be recognized in missouri and go to the front line. That would be very helpful for us. That would be very helpful for us did you have an estimate of how much this will cost the state and hospitals . I will let the governor speak to that but the search continues to play out across the state so that will be played out. But they put in place an architecture to make sure the needs are met then we can know exactly that and i will let the governor speak to that as well. Before we get started with any questions, let me say i was talking before i met here today its a good reminder. And we all started with covid1 covid19, seems like weve been dealing with it for a long time but nine months ago. We met every challenge i have come forward. When we first started remember the supplies were poor people come to together to find solutions. What they just found out a way we can move forward. When we didnt have the equipment that it is a reminder when somebody is always trying to find the worst they can in a stereo is important we fight this challenge i want every missourians know and we will continue to do that. And will be a printer and continue to do at the end of the day, this is a virus. Nobody has control and we need to continue to fight it every day the best we can to protect. You know how much funding throughout the year and is it something we have to discuss as well . We need more details of what this will cost we will tell you the exact amount once finalized all the plants on how much people will bring in and what stages. But we can release that exactly. The c. A. R. E. S. Act funding its interesting to see what will happen for the next year. Sonny is always an issue. We didnt know we were going to do this so can we get the c. A. R. E. S. Act funding for those resources . I definitely believe we have it now with the supplemental. Hello governor. So making sure hospitals are in fact it is hospitalizations the past few weeks, studies show that are you thinking of candidate and to and with that policy to be in the state of missouri. I want to go back to thanksgiving holiday when we asked people to do more and be responsible and they did. We just have to continue to do that. Policies will not change and to give the line. I dont know if it will be six months or one year and nobody knows where we will be in of weeks. The initial plan is we know the vaccine is coming and that is a factor by the end of february the distribution of the vaccine whether tier one or tier two will make a difference. So we will reevaluate in february. We all concerned about it but i a and we can reevaluate after that. You saved his book. We will figure it out. If we take that c. A. R. E. S. Act funding i dont know they will do in washington dc. I assume some will come out at some point we dont know when that will happen. But first priorities is to take care of missouri citizens. Why this company . How did you reach this in particular . We are talking about financing. Its a matter of lose available and they have the resources we know . One of the things with you been in arizona before that that had a positive effect. It has been fun and that was as Selection Process but to go into further detail you can contact todd and he will give you the information. Thank you for being here today. Thank you
