The Bureau of Customs (BOC) announced on Thursday that it has employed a backup network connectivity to ensure network stability for its trade services and transactions.
Services and appliances for cybersecurity solutions such as reliable back network connectivity were procured by the bureau in a bid to “protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, as well as mitigate cybersecurity threats and risks.”
“The BOC has procured a backup network to ensure network stability which is highly significant to trade services and to stakeholders transacting with the bureau,” the bureau said in a statement.
“Once completed, the BOC will have two network providers and the ports will be connected with two network connections,” it added.
