Dan Einstein, a Grammy winner who co-founded independent record labels with singer-songwriters John Prine and Steve Goodman, only to quit the business and open a bakery that became an East Nashville community hub, died Saturday in Nashville at 61. A cause of death was not given, but family members said he had been suffering from a prolonged illness.
