Demolition of Yellowknife's Giant Mine townsite stirs memories, and mixed emotions

The Giant Mine townsite just outside of Yellowknife will be demolished this summer. Some are sad to see the historic buildings go, while others say good riddance to the visual reminder of the harm the mine caused to the environment and surrounding Indigenous communities.
